To help in the removal of the Himalayan Balsam in the Monkmead Woods area, we have been asked to help Viv Doussyalong this stretch of the river Chilt. The area has boggy areas, brambles and nettles, so long trousers and long sleeve shirts, sturdy boots/wellies, are to be recommended.
Our meeting point is at our host’s home, Mulberry House (formally Woodpeckers as shown on some maps). It is the 3rd house along from the normal car park meeting point in the woods (after Brookwood and Cronroe), heading north, on Monkmead Lane W. Chiltington, RH20 2NR.
