DESCRIPTION:At this site\, we will continue the scrub clearance of these im
 portant chalk grasslands to improve the habitat for the butterflies. We ar
 e continuing to dig up the invasive Cotoneaster in the area. Cotoneaster 
 is a genus of flowering plants in the rose family found in the mountains o
 f southwestern China and the Himalayas (as if we hadn’t got enough probl
 ems from the Himalayas with their Balsam). Please bring your own spade if 
 you feel up to some digging.\nThis site is more challenging than our regul
 ar sites as it is on the northern slopes of the Downs.\nMeet at Grey Friar
