MEADOWSIDE
Meadowside is an open area of land to the west of the Village. The River Stor runs thro' the centre.
Whilst the Society does some work there - mainly on clearing the River the only basic maintenance is the fortnightly mowing by the Council.
For many years we have been pressing Horsham District Council to lay a proper path at Meadowside. In winter because of the very uneven surface and very muddy surface it becomes very dangerous to walk upon.
At long last the Council have listened to us and on Thursday May 3rd. 2007 the resurfacing commenced.
This was completed early in the following week an as can be seen from the photos below it is a vast improvement.
It make a a very pleasant and safe walk
This is another example of the effect your Society has. Without our lobbying the Council for this improvement it would not have happened.
